In this section we will learn about the basics of programming in Java. We will learn how to declare variables, how to use selection and how to use iteration.

• Have a go the creating your own CalcArea program but have a go at using the Java Math library so you can use the pow function to help you calculate the area. You can also use the static variable PI to make your answer more accurate.
• Have a go at creating a calculator that calculates the area of a cylinder or a cone.
